This course covers cardiac embryology; the normal fetal
and postnatal heart and their circulations; hemodynamics; scanning views and techniques; congenital
and acquired cardiac pathology and its appearance on the echocardiogram.
This course will be helpful to those preparing for the Registry examination and
as a review for practicing pediatric echocardiographers.
Included in the course are hundreds of questions similar to those on the Registry.
The course also includes a DVD with a variety of normal and abnormal examinations.
Students take a closed book examination at the end of the course. This allows the student to
assess their level of knowledge and to discover any area of study which may require more attention prior
to the Registry examination.
This course has been evaluated by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and has been
approved for 30 continuing medical education (CME) credits. |
