  • Sonography of abdominal vascular disorders

Module 2:

  • Normal liver anatomy and physiology
  • Normal hepatic sonography
  • Common ultrasound imaging artifacts

Module 3:

  • Introduction to cellular pathology
  • Sonography of hepatic pathology

Module 4:

  • Ultrasound of the biliary system
  • Sonography of the retroperitoneum to include the adrenal glands.


Module Content - Part 2

Module 1:

  • Sonography of the normal and abnormal pancreas
  • Sonography of the reticuloendothelial system (spleen & lymph nodes)

Module 2:

  • Sonography of the normal and abnormal urinary tract and male pelvis

Module 3:

  • Sonography of the abdominal wall, peritoneum, gastrointestinal tract, intraabdominal fluid collections and aspiration and biopsy techniques

Module 4:

  • Superficial scanning: scrotum, thyroid, parathyroids, breast and legs
