Applicants who enroll in this course will receive course 031 which consists of four modules and approved for 40 CME's, and course 050 which consists of one module and is approved for 4 CME's. In total, students who complete all five modules will be credited with 44 CME's.
This course has been specially designed for Registered Mammographers who are interested in obtaining ARRT certification in Breast Sonography. The course covers the ARRT content outline of the Breast Sonography Certificate Examination and should enable the student to successfully challenge this examination.
The course offers all mammographers an excellent opportunity to obtain a full and comprehensive knowledge of breast sonography from the normal anatomy to benign and malignant features.
In course 031 you will study breast instrumentation and technique, breast anatomy, pathology, and invasive and other procedures. There is a comprehensive atlas of breast images depicting normal anatomy as well as numerous breast pathologies and artifacts.
In course 050 you will study in greater detail breast physics, instrumentation, technique, and patient care.
Following each of the five modules, the student will complete an open book assignment ranging from twenty-five to fifty questions. Each assignment is returned with an explanatory answer key indicating the correct response. After finishing the course each student will write a final examination supervised by an approved test invigilator.
