This course, taken in combination with course 043 (Echocardiography & Non-Invasive Cardiac Evaluation) covers all topics on the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Non-Invasive Registry exam outline.
Candidates who are successful on the CCI Non Invasive Registry can use the designation Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). For detailed information about CCI visit their web site at http://cci-online.org.
Non Invasive Cardiovascular Principles & Physics is a comprehensive course covering cardiac anatomy, many aspects of cardiovascular hemodynamics relating to echocardiography and all aspects of ultrasound physics found in the examination outline.
You do not need to purchase any other textbooks.
The course is divided into four study modules with an "open book" assignment following each module. At the completion of the course, students may take an optional "closed book" examination to help them prepare for the Non Invasive Registry examination.
This course has been approved by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) 40 continuing medical education (CME) Credit hours. These CME's are accepted by CCI.
