This course is a comprehensive course covering all aspects of modern echocardiography practice. The course includes all areas described on the test content outline for the registry Adult Echocardiography examination. It covers many other areas which both the beginning and experienced echocardiographer will find useful in clinical practice. This course is useful both in preparation for the Registry examination and as a review for practicing echocardiographers.

The course includes notes and two DVD's with a variety of normal and abnormal examinations. A practice self-assessment video examination on DVD is also included. These will help in preparation for the videotape portion of the Registry examination.Students take a closed book examination at the end of the course. This allows the student to assess their level of knowledge and to discover any area of study which may require more attention prior to the registry examination.

This course has been evaluated by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and has been approved for 40 continuing medical education (CME) credits.
